The Friends of the Littleton Library and Museum is a group of people who provide financial and volunteer support for the Edwin A. Bemis Public Library and the Littleton Museum. The Friends have provided on-going support since 1963.

The Friends provide funding for community enhancing activities including:

  • Craft Fair
  • Free Concerts
  • Used Book Sale
  • Harvest Festival
  • Summer Reading Programs
  • Holiday’s evening
  • Children’s Writing Contest
  • Monthly Speakers
  • Children’s Polar Express Program
  • Halloween Parade & Frightful Friday
  • Teen Tech Week
  • Easter Egg Hunt
  • National Library Week celebrations
  • Library Card Signup Month Contest
  • Western Welcome Week events: Bag of Books sale, Parade entry, Homecoming Coffee

Additionally, the Friends support:

  • Special equipment, furniture & fixtures
  • Farm animals & educational items
  • Collection and display materials
  • Appreciation endeavors
  • Professional development
  • General programming for children, teens, adults and seniors

Mission Statement:

The Friends of the Littleton Library and Museum is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit service organization providing financial and volunteer support for Bemis Public Library and the Littleton Museum. The Friends sponsor and support events to increase community awareness of these valuable community resources. The Friends offer new and current members opportunities to serve our community, to make new friends, and to ensure that the Library and the Museum remain vital links to our future and to our past.
